          In 1958, the company’s predecessor, Laiyang Film & Broadcast Equipment Repair Station, was established. In the era of planned economy, its main business was film equipment repair and apparatus supply.

          In 1971, "Yantai Film Equipment Repair Factory" was renamed as "National Yantai No.6 Radio Broadcast Equipment Factory", and entered the stage of independent venture based on the peripheral equipment - photoelectric paper tape input device

          In 1980, the RDG-8 photoelectric paper tape input device won the National Silver Award of China’s Computer Industry.

          In 1980, the company successfully developed support equipment for China’s trail launch of carrier rockets into the Pacific Ocean.

          In December 1982, the company jointly developed the microcomputer-based remote terminal unit (RTU) with Shandong University of Technology, and applied computer technology in the field of power dispatching, which changed the development pattern of Chinese electric power industry.
